About Me:
My name is Casey Kowatch, I am an Integrated Science major who is also trying to get their CTE certification. (teaching jargon, I want to be a teacher for science and engineering/technology classes) I am hoping to learn more about some of the technologies that are widely used in the media industry as it could be useful for when I begin teaching. More specifically in CTE(Career Technical Education) classes. I have some experience using Adobe Premier from making videos as part of my job as the one in charge of media for a local robotics team that I also coach for.
Some of my interests outside of classes include traveling, reading, watching movies and TV and anime, and the occasional video game. Some of the recent places I have been to include Maui, Las Vegas and St. Louis. My favorite things to do while traveling are try local favorite restaurants(can’t be something we have in Ohio) and going to see sites that others may not be as privy about, such as hiking to hidden spots only really well known to locals. My favorite genre of movies, TV and reading would probably be fantasy or sci-fi, specifically when technology or ideas in the show/book are things that do not exist in our world. The ways that certain books, shows and movies have societies that compare and contrast to those present in our world always hooks me. Recently my favorite books have been the Empyrean series by Rebecca Yarros and I have been rewatching the Marvel movies in chronological order in order to make sure I remember everything that has happened in preparation for the Avengers: Doomsday movie releasing later this year.
