About Me:
My name is Alexis Shepherd and I am from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! I am a Junior Communications major with double minors in Marketing and Theatre! I’m hoping to be on a communications or marketing team for a theatre and/or dance company for my professional job! That, or one of my favorite brands. Some of my hobbies include working out, hanging out with friends and family, dance, musical theatre, and watching tv as a means of relaxing! Some small little facts about me are I love the color pink, clothes, I’m a big flower lover (my favorite flower is a hibiscus), I used to play volleyball, and I love the beach!
Dance and Musical Theatre has been such a big part of my life. I’ve been doing dance and musicals for over 10+ years now! I went to a performing arts high school before coming to Kent State! Some musicals I was apart of over the years include: Madagascar Jr. (Mason the Monkey), Lion King Jr. (Sarabi), Frozen Jr. (Anna), You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Marcie), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Logan Schwartzandgrubenierre), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Dance Captain, Wife), and Chicago (Roxie Hart).
Some things I’m hoping to get out of this class is knowing how to use Adobe Express and building my own website. Essentially, being able to understand and navigate online tools and websites more efficiently. What comes with that is setting myself up for the professional world by knowing how to do website design and content management.
