My name is Kelsi Clark and I am from Delaware, Ohio. I have lived in Delaware my whole life, and there is no other place that I would want to call home. That is where my family is, my friends are, and all the places that I love. Growing up I went to a small private school for all my elementary and middle school years. By the time I was in 8th grade there were only around 30 people in my class, so it was pretty shocking to me when I started high school and ended up with a graduating class of about 400.

Aside from school, Delaware is also where I started baton twirling with Angel’s Hi-Steppers. Twirling has been a huge part of my life ever since I was two years old and is a really big part of who I am. I have twirled for around 17 years now and it has been the biggest factor in me making some of my closest friends. In fact, I currently twirl for the Touch of Gold Twirlers here at Kent State.
Lastly, Delaware would not be the place it is without my family. I grew up in my house with my dad, my brother, my grandma, and my dog Barley. They all have a big piece of my heart and have supported me in every thing that I do.

Outside of Delaware, a huge part of who I am is in Ironton, Ohio. The small town is where my parents met and grew up, and is also where most of my extended family is from. Ironton holds a lot of really sweet memories from my childhood like Easter egg hunts with my cousins, our Sunday trips to church, and the big Thanksgiving meals my grandma would cook every year. Even though the town is small, I cherish it so much and all the memories it has brought me with some of my favorite people. I would not be who I am today without all the places and people I have been so lucky to have in my life.
